Advertising is a channel of communication that is used to materialize persuasion to an audience. It is used to arouse interest to elevate the desire for purchase. Enticing visual images, great audio and catchy taglines are only of the few key elements that are used. A product or service is presented to convey the message of the degree in quality, advantages and the amount of benefits one will be able to acquire from a certain product or service. Advertising can also be used to help communicate an idea to a number or a certain group of people to try and convince them to push through with a certain action. All these is possible via various media and this certainly comes with a cost.

One type of media that is usually considered highly is television advertising. It can help you present your product or services with the use of visibility, sound and motion which increases its credibility. It can also add an amount of personality for your business and therefore be more successful in establishing a more lasting and effective effect on your viewers. However, though this would seem very advantageous, one would have to consider the fact that is quite expensive.

Every second you consume in air time, you will have to pay for. This is an important matter to bear in mind since most people do not actually stay in their seats for commercials during their favorite TV shows plus the fact that not all people can afford to have huge expenses especially with a starting business. You wouldn’t also have the luxury to have immediate access to your advertisements in terms of updates or editing since you will be under a certain contract with a network.

Recent studies also show that there has been a great decline in the number of hours people spend in front of the television. This is not surprising since there are a lot of other forms of entertainment nowadays. A great amount of this decline has been replaced by internet surfing. Nowadays, people spend more or less 70 hours on the internet per week. This proves that the internet is now the strongest media on the net. Everything can be updated with one touch of a button.

Now imagine the advantages of television advertising paired together with the influence of the internet. Wouldn’t it be great for you to be able to use the same promotions of the television with the medium the majority of the world is immersed in?

The internet provides not only local but international promotion. It gives you such a wider range of audience. MyDavaoTv proves to be very innovative in this. It infuses two great media in one! It allows online advertising with your own personalized videos 24 hours a day and seven days a week! It is advertising at its best with such an affordable rate.

Newbies Deciding on a Profitable Online Business

For the person who is new to the many business opportunities available to them online and doesn’t know where to start or the person who has an interest but is a little wary, then, that is understandable. It’s also okay to feel that way. This article is intended for you, to perhaps ease those feelings and answer some questions.

So for someone who is new to the world of making money online and fulfilling a desire to have a business and a successful one, just where do you start?

Do you follow the crowd? Do you align yourself with a market? Do you go into this alone/on your own?

If you do go into a particular market, which one? Or should follow your passion and explore making your passions/hobbies your online business?

The other question that may come to mind and that I too query is, what about affiliate marketing and joint ventures? Those words get thrown around on the internet are painted with either a positive or negative slant.

When this whole adventure can feel somewhat isolating at the start, an understanding and an open mind is needed. It is difficult to distinguish between what is authentic, long-lasting and worthy of your time and precious resources.

I do not consider myself an expert nor a guru in this field but I can share according to my experiences some helpful tips and pointers to the right direction.

I have four important guidelines.

Firstly I like to go to blogs and forums in the field of internet marketing and online businesses to check out what people are saying and experiencing. This gives you a real feel for different markets, passions or hobbies you are interested in, thus allowing you to make more of an informed decision.

Secondly there are two important phrases or sayings that have stuck with me over the years in regards to making a profitable online business and they are:

If you solve peoples problems, you will go a long way, as we all encounter problems and many people are searching the net for answers to their problems. So if you can provide the solution through the tools of information or software this will be highly profitable for you and beneficial for your online customers.

If others are making money so can you. I guess this phrase answers the question of do you follow the crowd or align yourself with affiliate marketing? There is a great number of people who search online everyday and the number continues to rise as access and affordability becomes easier. Therefore as users increase so too does opportunities. I believe affiliate marketing can work as these opportunities ever the more increase.

Thirdly, reviews. This neatly ties up everything in a bow of what I have been writing. It is most important to review the trends, the hot markets and niches. Reviews allow the space for authenticity and the potential for growth or a true reflection of what is working and what is not working. Very helpful to obtain that feedback so as to know where to invest your time and resources.

Fourth point is, in my opinion, I don’t think it is healthy (at least for newbies) to venture out on their journey alone in this massive industry. There are some really great expert leaders who you can glean fresh, honest information and experience from. Even these expert leaders mastermind with each other often venturing out into new online businesses together, inviting others to join them along the way. I guess this brings me back to checking out forums and the reviews. You will certainly get a feel for what is happening and see how you too can join in on the journey.

Good ODesk Profiles – 7 Tips That Will Help You Succeed

Your oDesk profile (or Elance, Guru, and other freelance writing sites) is your most important asset. It makes the difference between you and the thousands of other oDesk contractors competing for a job. Therefore, you need to make sure that your profile is as good as possible.

1. Emphasize what’s important

The first thing that you should consider when editing your profile page is what information you will include. A good profile should not be too loaded with information. Think that the employer will decide in minutes, maybe even seconds, if you are suitable for your needs.

You want to make sure that the information that matters – experience, skills, references is visible and easily accessible. Focus on what is really important, rather than making huge lists of skill or completed projects.

2. Show off your best work

A portfolio is a must for a good oDesk profile. Use the built-in portfolio on oDesk to make a display of your best achievements. This can include web pages, pictures, writing samples, and just about anything you consider worthy. Keep in mind the first point, so don’t exaggerate.

3. Be persuasive

On oDesk, Elance or Guru, your profile is your business card. What you say about can convince the potential employers. To create a persuasive oDesk, describe yourself in powerful terms that employers like to hear. Use professional, expert, skilled, etc. Avoid words that suggest that you are inexperienced. Don’t tell the employers that you are a “quick learner” or “up-and-coming”. They will be influenced by them, even if they don’t realize it.

4. Be honest

Don’t lie in your profile, or at least don’t exaggerate too much your skills. This can turn on you later, by creating false expectations from the employers. A lie in your oDesk or Elance profile can also damage your reputation, both on oDesk and offline. A profile doesn’t need to be spectacular to be successful. Just clearly mention your skills and qualities and you should be fine.

6. Complete the profile

Don’t leave empty spaces into your profile. They look really bad. Try to find about all the relevant things about you, which might impress a potential employer. For example, if you have good computer skills, mention them, even if you are a freelance writer. They might prove useful someday, and they will also look good in your profile.

7. Ask an expert

The best oDesk profile is sincere, professional and well-thought. Give it some time, and don’t just rush it. It’s essential for your future success on oDesk, Elance and just about any other freelancing sites. If you really want to have a high quality profile, look for the advice of experienced freelancers. They always have good insight on what works and what doesn’t, so you may obtain some precious advice from an oDesk expert.

Need To Know Facts About Viral Marketing

Viral marketing is one of those methods that precedes the birth of the internet. To add to the excitement, all the social sites and networks plus sites like YouTube have radically changed the face of what viral means. People all over the world are revealing so much about themselves in unprecedented ways. This just goes on to show that viral marketing is in full throttle, and the regular word of mouth has taken a whole new meaning with the birth of the World Wide Web.

You will need to think about the market in which you are trying to force a viral campaign. All you can do is create it and let it go, and if it goes viral then you will not be the first to know, usually.

This is why you should focus on being patient when it comes to achieving results from your campaign. It is true that you really never know what will set people off in a viral way. These viral events are not all that frequent, and when they happen they just suddenly come out of nowhere. The key here lies in laying down a perfect foundation that makes it easy for you to grow your viral marketing campaign and take it to the next level. Most people who try to make something viral usually do not succeed. If something you do becomes viral, then all you really can do is watch it and respond to people if they talk to you. The success of the idea proves that it’s worthy, which is why you should spend more time on improving it even after launching it. The best viral campaigns are very direct and not complicated. The easier you make everything, then you will greatly increase your chances of something going viral. Whatever you do, it has to be a total no-brainer for people to talk about it or spread it. There are lots of examples of this principle in action on the net, and you have seen many of them. The key to all this is make people aware of it as it is being spread, and that is often just some kind of message or ad. That little ad is powerful, and it actually causes people to become drawn into the viral mechanism. The easier you make it, the more powerful it becomes.

You can create a buzz about your business that approaches viral, and the key to doing so is when you go out of your way to care about your customers. Remember if you want to drive a point home with your customers, then always avoid talking about it and then keep showing them with your actions. When you always do that, then people remember and they will tell others about it. When you sincerely help people, then they do remember that and will tell others. When you make the effort to help people, then you will see that they remember that and talk about it.

Viral marketing has huge potential for any business that decides to use it in a creative way. Creating an impact in your target market with the right viral marketing campaign requires you to have a good understanding of it, and at the same time you should know your own product inside out.

The Best Way to Make Money Online

To many people, this concept would be catchy, because it offers them an opportunity, that too an easy way to earn online, enjoying the comforts of home. The internet has grown to a large extent and its growth has brought about revolutionary changes. One such positive advantage is to make money online. Now earning money online could be accomplished either through owning a website or without owning a website.

Affiliate programs are the best and the easiest way to make an online income. Affiliate program works in two ways. One way is to work for another company, and promote their products and services, through one’s own website. By this method one gets a commission when a purchase is made through his website. This is the method of earning a referral fee. This is one of the quickest and uncomplicated ways to make money online. The investment here can be considered as the website. Working as an affiliate for a reputed company would fetch good referral fees.

The other way is to employ an affiliate is to promote one’s products or services. Accordingly, whenever a sale is made, a commission has to be paid to the affiliate. By this method one could make an incredible sale of the products or services. Thus the affiliate programs serve as an advantage both to the seller and to the affiliate. When the sales increase; the benefit is better; for both the seller and the referrer. The concept of selling can be made easy by affiliate programs. Some simple points to be considered in an affiliate program, is the use of appropriate keywords to bring in the targeted traffic, so as to convert them to fruitful buyers. So affiliate programs are the best and the easiest way to make money online.

The other method by which one can make easy money online is through blogging. Blogging is one of the easiest ways to make money online. In spite of the growing number of bloggers, it is quite difficult to find an efficient blogger with good writing skills and informative content. Blogs are great sources of income to the bloggers. Blogging could be chosen based on one’s ability and skill. An easy online income can also be generated by displaying the advertisements of products and services. 4 Tips to Consider: How to Find Keywords to Sell Domain Names

When hoping to sell domain names that have good meta tag keywords, there are things to observe else all efforts at selling at good price will be lost the moment you begin. So finding good keyword is the most important stages of internet marketing. Have you ever wondered why some of your domains never get good bargains from prospects? It is probably because you did the wrong thing at the right time.

There are several indicators to take into consideration when you want to find keywords to sell domain names. Such indicators like competition, local search, global search, and not excluding the cost per click on the keyword. These are the indicator that let you know if you are on the right track with your internet marketing campaign. Here are some few tips to work on and achieve a good start when trying to find keywords to sell your domain names.

The first tip to find keywords is checking if the niche is very competitive. There are many niches that are very competitive and it will be almost impossible to easily get such keywords as domain names. So what you need to do is use tools to search for the keywords that are not too competitive that you can easily register. I will advise that you look out for keywords that has competition that is below 100,000.

Another tip you must not neglect is to know how many search the keyword get on monthly basis. The local search tells you how well the keyword is searched within your locality. This is a good indicator when finding domain names you hope to sell. With a local monthly search of about 2,000 it’s an indicator that the keyword is good and it will get good bargain if you register it.

This tip is the one I like most. Using the global monthly search to check how profitable your keyword is is very important. If used properly it will determine how much success your internet campaigns get. The global monthly search lets you know how much you can sell your domain name. That is, it gives you a global view of your keywords in terms of searches. To sell domain names with this tip you should find keywords that have searches that are over 10,000 every month.

The last tip I want to quickly mention is finding keywords with good cost per click. To sell your domain names quickly after purchase you need to find keywords that have good cost per click. If you have keywords worth $1 and above you can quickly and easily sell than having keywords that has less worth.

There are tons of keyword tools you can use to get good domain names and earn good money online but the truth is they are all very difficult and tasking to use.

If you want already searched low competition keywords to make your domain a hot sell, you can download this Premium Keyword Package worth over $3000 that comes with free great bonuses so that you can start making money online.

I will like to start this post by saying this fact:

“20 years ago when the World Wide Web first came into existence and the first website was created, a lot of people wondered what the whole concept was all about but many of the same set of people cannot imagine life without it 20 years after.”

I love the concept of Making Money Online – it is darn too easy (if I press the right buttons) and I can also be called an Entrepreneur.

Starting a real world business can prove to be a tough nut to crack if you do not have the right connections. You will have to get your business registered, you will need a lawyer to help you write a couple of legal documents, you will need to set up a real-time office with rents meant to be paid, you will also need to bring people to your office or go out to meet them in order to make a sale… Without some form of help whatsoever, these and more are what you are expected to face. I wonder if there is a better place to make money than the internet.

If you are reading this post and you have not yet started an online business, I will say you are missing out on some great opportunities. And starting an online business is very easy, all you need upfront are these four basic things:

A domain name

This is more like any real world address when their functions are compared. While an offline address tells you where you can find a particular house, a domain name or web address points you to a website. Domain names are really cheap to get as they can be purchased in the region of $10. Domain name registrars like GoDaddy and NameCheap are popular and this is for a reason…

A web hosting service

Next you will need a web hosting service on which your site will be hosted. I like to look at web hosting as a piece of land on which you build your house(your website in this case).

Your web hosting makes it possible for others to find you on the internet. And though many people offer free web hosting service, you only get as much from them. You should not complain when your site experiences a lot of downtime and when you get some lousy customer service. Reliable webhosts go for less than $10 a month, a standard web host like Hostgator or Bluehost goes for a price in the region of $5. I can’t say it all but check them out and see what I mean. You can only get out what you put in.

A Premium WordPress Theme

Getting a good theme has a huge bearing on how much your site makes. Try writing a good post and then throw it up a site with terrible looking design, layout and navigation and see what happens.

A good web layout improves the user experience on your site; a very good design at times makes good content better. But notice I said good content, if you write old trash and post them on a site with the best theme in the world you will see NO results. People want good content first others follow. And the final thing you need…

An Order Processing System

You need to set up an order processing system where you can accept credit card payment online. If you don not give people an option to pay and if you don’t make it easy for them to make the payment, they will end up buying elsewhere – Your competition. If your readers do not buy from you, your site will not make money and it will eventually run aground. Even if your site is for non profit purposes, you still need to give people an option of making donations, even Wikipedia does this.

So going into the main part of this post, here are the 7 benefits you can derive from doing business on the internet over doing it offline, in the real world…

1. Global Market

Anybody can be your customer on the internet. As a Nigerian, I can have someone from Vietnam making a purchase from me while my next door neighbour also buys from me. The list of potential buyers is endless. Facebook has more than 250 million daily visits and a site like Google also records daily visits in the regions of 620 million. Now imagine that your site has say a percent of Google’s daily page views. That is 6 million people visiting your site everyday. Or let’s say 0.01 percent – that is still 62,000 daily visits to your site. You can offer these people a free product and make them opt-in to your autoresponder or subscribe to your newsletter. By so doing you make money. Some others might even be one-time visitors who will be impressed enough by what you do (if indeed you are doing something impressive) and buy the products you recommend.

2. Mobility

By doing business on the internet, you are not limited by your location. What I mean is your business can go with you wherever you go. And since you are not mandated to produce a real world address in order to register a blog, you can do without it. The point I am trying to make here is that with just a laptop and internet connection, you can run your online business successfully. You can fly out on official duty, your business flies with you; when you go on a Safari with the family you can still run your business. You can operate your internet business from anywhere – the dinner table, bedroom, and from Hong Kong to Chile. This is what I call the Internet Lifestyle and it is something and love.

3. Flexibility

You will not be able to get the kind of flexibility the internet gives you in any real world business (unless you run a really big business). With an internet business you can decide when to do your marketing for a product you are promoting, you decide when to write the next post for your blog, you decide when to request interviews with other people, and you decide when to do nothing. I can decide to write an article over the night so that the better part of my morning is spent sleeping, or I might even want to take the whole week off and go on a vacation. This is because I CAN do it.

4. Low Capital

To start an internet business you do not need thousands of dollars. Believe me you can start an internet business with as little as a couple $100s. For instance, as I stated at the start of this post, to create a blog like Income Scene all you will need at first are: a $10 domain name, a $60 web hosting service with Hostgator, a $70 premium WordPress theme with WooThermes and a $19 autoresponder service with Aweber (where you get the first month for $1) And with some serious work on your part, your blog should be able to run itself without any further investment from you after the first two months. As far as I know no real world business can give you this.

5. Leverage on Technology

The amount of technology available to bloggers and internet entrepreneurs in the days we live in is enormous, the best part of it all is that a bulk of these software and plug-ins are free to get. When I started Income Scene, all the plug-ins I used were gotten free and one of them (All In One SEO Pack) helped me rank number 1 for a keyword with more than 12 million results on Google- all in just a few days with no special work. There are so many softwares available now that will help you automate just about any task, many more will still be created. The catch is that you open your mind and broaden your search so that you will know where to look.

6. Minimal Overhead

Cost The recurring cost of running an online business is harmlessly low. The costs you will have to recurrently pay for will include autoresponder fees and order processing fees. The others will most likely be bulk payments (annual, biennial, etc.) and payment for internet connection. From whatever angle you look at it, an internet business requires less from you in the way of overhead costs compared to offline businesses where you will have to pay for rents and wages.

7. Entrepreneurship

The final and probably the most important benefit I derive from running an online business which I can not get with an offline business, probably because of my age is the opportunity to be called an entrepreneur. Being an internet entrepreneur is so easy when you compare it with the legalities and protocols you have to follow before you can start an offline business.

And as a side note, I must not forget to say that the internet has (over)simplified and quickened the process of getting feedbacks. If I run a promotion for a product and sales happen not to pick up, I can quickly find out what went wrong and correct my mistakes. By getting feedback quickly, I can move ahead much quicker with my blog. Whereas having the same promotion in the real world – using newspapers, bills or posters, snail mail, or any other method will take weeks or months; for the same feedback to be received.

Living as an internet entrepreneur gives everyone a level plane on which to compete. You can be an 80 year old grandfather, a 13 year old home -schooled kid or you could be working for The Boss (in a 9 to 5 job). It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, all you need to do is to decide if starting an internet business is best for you. As for me, I am a blogger and an entrepreneur, and nobody can take that from me.

Who else is sick and tired of BAD home based business advice that never pans out exactly as promised? Are you fed up with having to invest BIG bucks that you don’t have, and can’t really afford to learn new “techniques” that turn out to be a total waste of time, energy and INCOME?

What if I were to tell you that there is a simple strategy, staring you RIGHT in the face right now, that you can implement and execute with NO additional training at all? (because you learned how to do it in first and second grade..:-)

What if I were to tell you that this strategy has build my OWN readership into the MILLIONS, in more niches than I can count, with tens of thousands of subscribers in highly competitive markets that MOST “gurus” would fear to enter?

And what if I were to tell you that the vast majority of that traffic, and that success was FREE, other than the time it took me to do the work, and that I still reap the rewards from those efforts years later, each and every day?

The simple truth is, CONTENT marketing, or writing articles just like this one is the very BEST, newbie friendly and yet PERMANENTLY powerful process for generating traffic, subscribers and sales…without ever needing to buy another guru product again.

How does it work?

For me, I simply pick a niche……pick a PROGRAM to promote, put up a list building device (and opt in form or a more formal newsletter, depending on how active I plan to be) and then start creating tons of titillating titles, creative, compelling content….and then submit that content to the high ranking article directories for INSTANT traffic that literally starts within hours of my articles going live.

I build entire COMMUNITIES around each and every niche, with low cost WordPress themes that are designed to facilitate engagement, interaction and participation…which means my READERS, once they sign up for my list, often create my blog content for me..:-) (I like community blogs for this reason – they literally BUILD themselves..:-)

And the truth is, none of this requires a special skill, or any real gifts at all…..other than a willingness to work, a focused approach to learning the language of a new niche, and picking PRODUCTS that you know will make easy money……or, if you’ve got REAL passion for the niche, simply creating one yourself!

How Facebook Applications Work In New Business Ecosystem?

Facebook applications can help you integrate your business deeply with targeted customers. To understand how Facebook applications and business ecosystem works, we have to realize the way advertising and selling techniques have changed in the wake of generation Y and booming social media addiction.

Earlier, it was DIRECT SELLING – advertisements were loud and clear. There was an existing demand and the product was sold in a way to fill this gap in demand….a simple rule of demand and supply.

Now business ecosystem is little twisted – the golden rule of existing demand and products created and supplied to fill in this demand- has taken a backseat. Now advertisements are designed in a way that it first creates a demand (where it was none earlier) and then fill in this type of demand by showcasing their product as a solution. Secondly, advertisement has gone subtle and integrated – and this, as per records is more effective.

In the wake of social media ecommerce, this new style of advertising is propagated and Facebook applications plays important role here. Let us understand this with a small example – now your product is a fashion accessory, so you get a application created that asks users to dress up an image of theirs or choose best dressed friend – now a Facebook user who is inclined towards fashion will pick up application ( can be both game or utility) and enjoy – so this person is a prospective buyer for your product – therefore, while the user is busy enjoying and has built a trust for this application, you slowly sneak in your advertisement….BINGO! Result is effective advertisement for you have the prospective customer targeted…..Isn’t it logically a good strategy?

Integrate your product or business with a Facebook applications and then route them to your Facebook fan page and then this customer is routed to your website to make the final purchase – this cycle is sure to reap in the benefits that you have been long waiting for.
