These are just some of the things I point out because so many people think that it is easy to just get online, get a website and wait for the money to roll in.  Just like any other business, you have to work at it with a full commitment.  Otherwise, you might as well keep your day job!

For those with full time jobs, it will be a balancing act to investing time and working at your new online business.  Your efforts will bring rewards and eventually allow you to quit your job and make your online business a full time passion.  But it will take a person with a strong vision and conviction to persevere.

I personally had to make a decision last year.  June 2010 was my final D-Day…. Decision Day!  After many years working for large corporations and as an independent contractor, I could see my online business growing and bringing the success I needed,  It was time to make the decision.  It is my passion, I love what I do and along with all the time I spent over the years to understand how to have online business success, it was a very comfortable decision.  This will happen for you too. 

So if you can really be honest with yourself, evaluate your current skills and how you would handle achieving your goals, you have the right mindset to prevail. 

If you are jumping in because you see others or ‘it seems’ easy to have a successful online business, then I would not suggest you consider doing this. 

It takes a true commitment and if you know you truly are that type of person, then by all means, take the steps now to start your online business.  Every hour, every minute that you can invest in you and your business, will put you that much closer to a goal of freedom and financial success.

The economy is a mechanism between demand and supply. The economy is also a continually changing process that changes according to our human needs. What’s important about this to understand is that you can’t make money in the past. While a steam engine was a revolutionary product hundred years ago no one is willing to buy one from you today.

The pyramid of Maslow is a model that explains the hierarchy of human needs. At the bottom of the pyramid we have our basic needs like food and shelter, and higher up the pyramid we also have our social needs and belongings, and at the top we’ve self-esteem and self-actualisation.

In modern society our basic needs are already self-sufficient. Evolution brought simplicity into our life. We no longer hunt for food or build a hut when we need shelter. It’s normal for us to live in a warm house and to eat whenever we like to. When we are hungry we go to the supermarket around the corner and when we are abroad we book a hotel room in five seconds.

Our basic needs fall into an irrelevant perspective and our desire for satisfaction moves on to higher needs in the pyramid. Self-actualisation increased in popularity and has become a modern standard. We want to learn, we want to know, and it’s information we want.

What do we do when we are online? Of course we check our emails and we are socially active online. But what is the first research instrument we consult when we want to know something? We use the web, and information is the primary practise the Internet is used for. The online information market has grown now into a billion dollar industry.

Common people, without entrepreneurial skills have become experts in their field. They found a niche where people had problems. They learned how to create an income out of helping these people by giving information/solutions to their problems.

The Internet opens the path for anyone to become a modern educator. It brings a remote lifestyle, where people can be valuable to each other and are also able to enjoy more time and freedom.

We’re not bound any longer to a specific time, place or job. We can connect simply from any location to the Internet and that gives us two important things time and freedom. An online information business is self-efficient and is designed to work for us. A digital product can be bought and downloaded by anyone from anywhere and automated systems will do the transaction. Online markets love digital products and you will love digital markets.

Writing articles, as a daily exercise, has been the single biggest investment i’ve made in my own business…..bar none.

It protects me from having to invest in all of the silly strategies, the fly by night guru launches, and the latest, greatest shiny “technique” that promises overnight riches with minimum effort.

Then you send links to them for products that they may be interested in. There are some marketers with over 2,000 people on their list. That’s no lie!
